After the birth of my first son over eight years ago I swapped my career as a solicitor for one in photography. I went back to college to study for the City & Guilds qualification in photography and achieved Distinction. I then spent a further two years studying for an Advanced Portrait Diploma and a Diploma in dark room developing during which I finished my extensive project of photographing the late stages of pregnancy.
I have owned a camera since I was nine years old, shooting anyone who would stand still for long enough, and I have the scrapbooks and albums from that time to date as evidence of a boundless enthusiasm for photographs. Photographing people in any situation is more than a passion; it is a compulsion which is near impossible to resist. My camera is always with me and I equally love studio and location work and weddings. Having been distracted by my legal career for some 12 years I have now found my true vocation.
